VIVO IPL2021 || Match -28
Match Review || RR Vs SRH
A battle between two teams languishing at the rock bottom of the league. But, the way Rajasthan Royals put up a show, they definitely don't deserve to be in this position. It was a "Halla Bol" performance from the Royals & nightmare for Sunrisers. It was a thumping performance of pink army with the bat & Joss Buttler blown away the orange army single-handedly & Rajasthan Royals registered a crucial win, which they desperately needed at this point of time in the league.
The breaking news of the day is - "Sunrisers Hyderabad" took the captaincy from David Warner & handed it over to "Kane Williamson" & shockingly Warner is not a part of playing eleven. This is an absolute shocker. Never thought in dreams, Warner would not be playing for SRH,even when he is fit & available. There are some serious issues going in Sunrisers & this is not a good news. It's a scary thought, that we might not see Warner play for orange army anymore from the next season. Truly Shocking !!
RAJASTHAN ROYALS - INNINGS
Sunrisers won the toss & asked Rajasthan Royals to bat first. This proved to be a blessing in disguise
for Royals & nightmare for Sunrisers. Royals made few changes for this game - young Yashasvi Jaiswal & Kartik Tyagi had their opportunity to play.Although, Royals didn't had the best of the starts as they've lost Yashasvi Jaiswal(12) early. But, Joss Buttler was in sublime form & on all attack mode, in company of skipper Sanju Samson. Even the best of the bowlers, a class of Bhuvneshwar Kumar or Rashid Khan couldn't stop these two astonishing players.
Runs were coming thick & fast. Both the batsmen were dealing in boundaries,especially in power-play. But Joss Buttler was unstoppable & he kept playing those big shots even after power-play. Buttler was literally toying with the Sunrisers bowlers & in the process - Joss Buttler(124) scored his maiden century of IPL,scoring at 200 strike rate, almost. Even Sanju Samson(48) played his part & was on the brink of another half-century but sacrificed his wicket for team's cause. Rajasthan Royals post a mammoth score of 220, courtesy of these massive contributions from the ace players. Pink army on top,at half-way stage.
SUNRISERS HYDERABAD - INNINGS
Nothing is working for Sunrisers this year & now David Warner not in playing eleven, is a unbearable shock for the team. This has bubbled out lot of issues in Sunrisers team management. This team looked rattled & now chasing this mammoth target, was a herculean task for them- that too without Warner.
Now, all eyes were on the trio - Jonny Bairstow(30),Manish Pandey(31) & skipper Kane Williamson(20). But, it was not their day. All the three had the decent starts but the pressure of coping up with the asking run rate & securing a win, was too much to handle. It was a game over for Sunrisers,once these three returned to pavilion.
Although, Kedar Jadhav(19), Mohammed Nabi(17) & Abdul Samad(10) tried,but it was asking for too much from them &it was too late for Sunrisers.As a result, SRH could manage only 165 runs in their stipulated quota of 20 overs & Rajasthan Royals won the match by 55 runs.
Royals clinched an all important victory for them & now they're battling out in the mid-section of the points table to find a place in top four. But, the story for Sunrisers is at the culmination for IPL2021. Now, it's next to impossible for them to qualify for the playoffs. Only some miracle can make it happen for them, unfortunately unlikely to happen for them. Curtains for Sunrisers !!!
