VIVO IPL2021 || Match -26

Match Review || PBKS Vs RCB

Wow !! The first upset of IPL2021 - the underdogs Punjab Kings decimated the unstoppable Royal Challengers Bangalore & clinch an unbelievable victory over red army by 34 runs. Once again, we witnessed that in this format - "The toughest Twenty", on a given day any team can beat the other. Rather, one player can turn the game upside down in a matter of few overs or even in few deliveries.

Punjab Kings were roaring at Narendra Modi Stadium. It was s stunning, scintillating & superb performance of Kings with the bat & ball. The talk of the town was a new kid on the block - "Harpreet Brar". Harpreet single handedly, turn the game on it's head in a span of 07 deliveries & Kings registered an unbelievable win over Royal Challengers Bangalore by 34 runs. Harpreet Brar - Truly the x-factor of this match & surely be trending & buzzing on social media.

PUNJAB KINGS - INNINGS

Virat's red army won the toss & choose to field first. It's a tricky situation for Kings, to post a score on an unpredictable batting strip. Skipper K.L.Rahul(91*) looked in good touch & was on all attack,right from the outset. He took the RCB bowlers to the cleaners & looked absolutely unstoppable. Kings made three changes in this game & one of it proved to be the master-stroke !! New faces Prabhsimran, Harpreet Brar & Riley Meredith made to the playing eleven.

Prabhsimran(7) couldn't last for long but then came the Gayle Storm. Universe Boss -Chris Gayle(46) was on song & scoring runs almost at a striking rate of 200. Just when Rahul & Gayle were gaining grounds, Gayle falls to an enticing delivery from Daniel Sams & lost his wicket. Nicholas Pooran's poor form continues & got one more duck to his name,in this season. It's a nightmare for Pooran and when this shocking streak of poor from will end, is a huge concern for Kings.

Kings lost three wickets in quick succession but still skipper Rahul was going at speed of knots. He never allowed the RCB bowlers to dominate the game situation & towards the end, a new kid on the blocks gave a glimpse of his striking abilities with the bat,in a role of a finisher. Yes, we're talking about - "Harpreet Brar(25*)", who played a cameo towards the end & helped the team to post a challenging score of 179 runs on board. Kings, surely a happy unit at the half-way stage.

ROYAL CHALLENGERS BANGALORE - INNINGS

For a team like RCB, this target is a challenging one but not an impossible one. With the likes of Devdutt Padikkal,Virat Kohli, Glenn Maxwell & A.B.Deviliers & the form they all are in, RCB was still the favorites to win this contest. But as we know,cricket is a game of uncertainties & this is what was about to happen.

RCB lost an early wicket of Devdutt Padikkal(7), inside power-play - courtesy of Riley Meredith. Then came the epic moment & the turning point of the game, where all the drama began. Kings brought "Harpreet Brar" to bowl at Virat Kohli. Now, Harpreet was a complete unknown entity & a beauty from Harpreet completed foxed the skipper Virat(35) & "Bowled" !! Wow - The maiden wicket of Harpreet is Virat Kohli. Big blow to RCB.

Before, the red army could realize something, on the very next delivery Harpreet went through the defense of Glenn Maxwell(0) & then got a price scalp of Mr.360 - A.B.Deviliers(3) in his next over. Game over for RCB. This collapse has rattled the red army & then with each passing over, situations were getting tougher for RCB & no batsman could deliver. Towards the end, we saw a blistering knock by Harshal Patel(31), scoring at whopping 238.00 strike rate but it was way too late for RCB. Red army could manage only 145 runs in 20 overs & Kings registered an emphatic win by 34 runs.
