Match Review || MI Vs RR
Defending Champions - Mumbai Indians taking on Rajasthan Royals in a battle, to get the final spot in the top four of the league. The two teams were locking horns in Delhi & there's nothing that separates these two teams. They go neck to neck, when it comes to head to head match-ups. But, this time the match proved to be an easy affair for the defending champions & won the match by 07 wickets.
RAJASTHAN ROYALS - INNINGS
Rajasthan Royals have a good record against Mumbai Indians & their trump card for this match was "Joss Buttler(41)", who always scores heavy against them. This time also, he gave a flourishing start to pink army, but Mumbai Indians found a way to send him back to pavilion, just when he was looking supremely dangerous.
Even, Yashasvi Jaiswal(32), skipper Sanju Samson(42) & Shivam Dube(35) got the decent starts, but none of them was able to convert it into a real big one -a match winning innings. Henceforth, Royals were limited to 171 runs only, on a belter of a pitch.Mumbai Indians will happily take that, at the halfway stage.
MUMBAI INDIANS- INNINGS
Two stars from Mumbai Indians takes all the limelight. One with the bat & other with the ball. Firstly, it was off-spinner - "Rahul Chahar (02 Wkts)", who pick the prize scalps of Joss Buttler & Yashasvi Jaiswal, just when both of them were looking dangerous, especially Buttler.
The star player with the bat was - "Quinton De Kock(70*)", who sailed the ship & took the team over the line. It's a real big news & warning bells for the oppositions. Quinton returns to IPL arena with a bang. QDK, was due for runs & such blistering innings from some time. Hats-off to Mumbai Indians & skipper Rohit Sharma, who shown lot of faith in QDK, backed him & he delivered in this match.
Quinton played a match winning innings with some smart & intelligent cricket. In the power-play played aggressively, in the mid-overs played smartly & ensured team's victory by taking the team over the line. Quinton's innings was an exhibition of super-striking & exquisite stroke-play. Welcome back - QDK !!
The only concern for MI is the form of Surya Kumar Yadav(16). Yet again, after playing some good shots, played a reckless one & thrown his wicket. The concern is not only about getting out, but he's throwing it away in a casual manner. Need to pay attention & he must value his wicket.
Mumbai Indians back to the winning ways & now they have the momentum with them. MI is supremely dangerous when they have momentum with them, MI literally becomes Unstoppable & this may very well be the beginning of it. Well played Mumbai Indians.
