A season of festivities, adventures, high octane drama, crazy moments, heart stopping stuff & what not, is here. It's gonna be a roller - coaster ride & today we're talking about none other than - "The Defending Champions - Mumbai Indians."
Mumbai Indians - They are absolutely invincible & Unstoppable. The most successful team of IPL, with maximum titles & this team is a class apart. If we see, this is a star studded team comprising the stalwarts of cricket from respective nations & one heck of a bond which they call - "One Family". They mean it & live by it, right from the inception. This is the family of performers, team players & visionaries. We're not talking about only the players only, but the back-end support team like experts, coaches & icons. Visionaries like "Mahela Jaywardene & Zaheer Khan" & icon like "Sir Sachin Tendulkar" who played a crucial role & had a major contribution in creating a team of champions.
THE SKIPPER - ROHIT SHARMA
"Rohit Sharma" - This is just not a name, but now it's a phenomenon, an emotion that drives the nations crazy & binds the nation throughout. Rohit is the most successful skipper of IPL history. It's under the leadership of this man only, Mumbai Indians won their all the titles - "Five Titles in Eight Years", is one heck of a record.
Rohit Sharma is a lucky charm for the franchise & the way he led the team from 2013 is absolutely incredible. His captaincy, the game knowledge, his ability to be ahead of the opposition throughout the game, marshaling his troops brilliantly well & absorbing pressure in the crunch moment, is a signature of this champion masterclass skipper & world-class batsman. Now in IPL2021, once again Mumbai Indians under his leadership all set to defend their title for the third consecutive year & overall for the sixth time. They are the firm favorites right from the outset & looked the most balanced, yet the most dangerous team of the league. Rohit Rocks & so does Mumbai Indians !!
MUMBAI INDIANS - TOP CLASS TOP ORDER
Mumbai Indians have all their bases covered. Let's start with the "Top Order" of the defending champions. Alongwith skipper Rohit Sharma, it's a left handed South African top order attacking batsman - "Quinton De Kock", followed by a super classy & a reliable batsman - "Surya Kumar Yadav- SKY". In the last couple of years, we witnessed the attacking mode of Quinton
at the top of the order, which helps the team to take the utmost advantage of the power-play & it takes all the pressure off from Rohit.
Importantly, there is no respite for the bowlers because following batsman - "Mr.SKY" has mastered the art of playing to the situations & can change the gears in a span of deliveries, through his power, innovation & super striking abilities. MUMBAI INDIANS - MIDDLE ORDER IS ROCK SOLID
This team's middle order is as reliable as the top order. It comprises with a stylish lefty young lad - "Ishaan Kishan" , who played some unbelievable & astonishing knocks in the last couple of years. Another player in this slot is - "Krunal Pandya", yet another lefty not that stylish but very valuable all-rounder, who scored some crucial & priceless runs in the past (especially in finale of 2015) & took the team out of difficult situations. His ability to pick wickets in the middle overs is invaluable. Both of them are super strikers of the cricket ball & can make some serious contributions for the team to provide stability in the middle. Defending champions are blessed to have such "Rock Solid Performing Middle Order" !!
MUMBAI INDIANS - "P SQUARE" THE LETHAL FINISHERS
Mumbai Indians has the most lethal & dangerous finishers, in the history of IPL. Yes, they are "Hardik Pandya & Kieron Pollard". They are power houses & can play series of breadth-taking shots at their will & can score 70-100 runs in last five overs. They can snatch the game from the opposition in matter of few deliveries while chasing & can post an impossible target for the opposition while they bat. They are the super X-Factors of this team & have won the matches single-handedly for Mumbai Indians, in the recent years.
The story doesn't end here for these two match winners. They made some serious contributions with the ball as well. They bowled some tough overs for the team & delivered the results. How can we forget some unbelievable catches on the field from them,in the crunch moments of the game. Let's call them the most resorted impactful players of IPL & a true asset for Mumbai Indians.
MUMBAI INDIANS - EXCEPTIONAL BOWLING ATTACK
Defending Champions have a striking bowling attack. Let's start with the world-class speedsters - "Jasprit Bumrah & Trent Boult", followed by young performing spinner - "Rahul Chahar" & a medium pacer "Nathan Coulter-Nile". This season, Mumbai Indians bought one more speedster from Newzealand - "Adam Milne", known for hitting the super high clock speeds. This looks a formidable bowling attack.
Jasprit Bumrah & Trent Boult are super strikers with the ball. In the last season,we witnessed Boult picked two-three wickets in power-play & boom-boom Bumrah picking wickets at the death. It's a double strike for the team. In the middle overs Chahar & Coulter-Nile can take the situations in control by bowling economically.
Now,team has one more option of "Adam Milne" to serve them & Krunal is always there to bowl. Furthermore, if few of the bowlers have an off day at the office then, Kieron Pollard - Hardik Pandya is there to bend their back for the team. Mumbai Indians is really so fortunate to have that many performing options in the bowling department & no matter what,they have one of the strong bowling contingent of the league- MI truly have an Exceptional Bowling Attack !!

The core of this team, is the "Success Mantra" of Mumbai Indians. The secret lies here only. If we observe them, we will see that the core of the most successful franchise of IPL consists of:-
"Rohit Sharma, Hardik Pandya, Krunal Pandya, Kieron Pollard & Jasprit Bumrah. These are the players with Mumbai Indians right from the inception. This reveals a true secret of Mumbai Indians success. The think tank of this team identify a talent,nurture them, stick with them for long-term duration & invest in them. They don't believe in chopping & changing. This team still looks the most balanced, proportionate, performing , strong & the most dangerous team of the league. It's not that, they are strong on papers only. This team has match-winners, performers with a never say die & fearless attitude. They performed time & time again for the team & the results speaks the volumes. The skipper - "Rohit Sharma" has loads of experience & he's the best in this format in the world. If we add Quinton, Ishaan & Surya Kumar to the inner core of Mumbai Indians, then, their eight players are sorted right from the outset. They just need to find a match of three other players & play with them throughout the league. Game Over !!
This team looks all set to strike a hat-trick & conquering their sixth IPL title. If they do so, they will create history again. There is no team yet, to defend the title for three consecutive years & if they do, they will be in the record books of all time forever, just like - Real Madrid, Manchester United, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal & Chicago Bulls.
If there's any team,who can scare this team in IPL2021is :- "Delhi Capitals". The only team, who can defeat Mumbai Indians is - Mumbai Indians only. Once again for one more time, Mumbai Indians are the firm favorites. Defending Champions Going For a SIXER !!!
